I have been SO EXCITED to share this special blog of Lucy & Andy's wedding. Not only was it a truly stunning day all round, it was only my second wedding of 2021 - which can you believe took place half way through the year (29th May 2021) due to covid!! Weddings of 30 had just been given the green light, and those that I attended, were AMAZING!
I felt so blessed to photograph Lucy and Andy’s wedding at Askham Hall and it was the ultimate dream! Their day was so relaxed and full of fun with their 30 guests plus two four legged guests!
The day was an emotional rollercoaster from Lucy’s daddy daughter first look with her dad holding back the tears, to lots of laughter in the ceremony when Andy made a mistake with the words (I swear these are the best moments in the ceremony!!) to walks with Luna their little dog and including her in their couple photographs! Lots of laughter from the best mans speech and finishing on SO MANY TEARS when Lucy’s twin brother had put together a video for her all the way from New Zealand.
As you can imagine he couldn’t come back for the wedding, so instead they streamed the day to him over there and he put together his own special pre recorded speech which had EVERYONE in tears (including myself!) - It was SO emotional and was the cherry on the cake for Lucy & Andy's special day.
Honestly the BEST weddings are when you’re crying one minute and laughing the next and trust me, Lucy and Andy had IT ALL.
It was the biggest pleasure getting to know both of them and their family over that weekend and I'm so excited to finally show you their wedding preview.
