"What's the time Luke?!" This was the most asked question at the Merwood on the 4th September 2021, and with good reason! Imogen & Luke had their special day they'd always dreamt of in the Lakes and for Luke, he got one extremely special surprise off his brother - a pocket watch! Something he was more than proud to show off all day... that and his new wife Imogen obviously!!
I'll back up a bit... You all know I LOVE colour, and for Imogen & Luke's wedding they were certainly on my wavelength - the flowers, the cake and even Luke's tie and socks!! There was so much colour in the BEST of ways and I was totally down for it!!
I was sad to leave their wedding at the Merewood Country House Hotel since their dance floor was in full swing and there were certainly plenty of shots flowing - this was without a shadow of a doubt my kind of wedding!!
The moment I saw Imogen's STUNNING Harrietwildeshoes and her beautiful colourful bouquet by the talented The Floralistas I knew the day was going to be special - oh and let's not forgot the amazing Gareth from Aqua The Salon on bridal hair duty too, I LOVE working with Gareth!
This wedding preview is certainly the BIGGEST I've ever shared, but there were so many moments I just HAD to include, like the best man issuing tickets for the vintage bus, or the steamer ride across Windermere post dinner AND let's not forget not one but two locations for their couple photographs - in the grounds of the Merewood and after dinner down by the water.
It's been an absolute pleasure getting to know Imogen & Luke over the past few years, from a coffee at Low Wood Bay before a wedding fayre, to their stunning pre-wedding shoot at Wast Water where they got engaged.
Here's to the most beautiful couple, inside and out, Imogen & Luke! I wish them a lifetime of happiness together and hoped they enjoyed their mini-moon around Scotland! And as Imogen put it in her speech "I think we're going to have a pretty good life together" ... I couldn't agree more!

The kindest review from Imogen & Luke:
Where can we even start describing the incredible Camilla. Not only is she the most talented photographer who takes beautiful photos but she takes photos that truly capture every feeling in each special moment.
We aren’t from the Lakes so it was a lot of Instagram and website searching to find our suppliers. The first things we wanted to get booked in was our venue and our photographer. It wasn’t long before we came across Camilla and instantly fell in love with her talent, we got in contact and from then on we knew it had to be her there capturing our special day. Camilla isn’t just your photographer she quickly becomes your friend, she’s incredibly easy to talk to and completely gets all your worries and is quick to make you feel comfortable and at ease.
We received the most gorgeous welcome pack and the countdown was on. As we got closer Camilla was always there at the end of an email ready to help. She gave us lots of great advice and we even booked some other incredible suppliers for our special day from her recommendations.
As the day got closer we booked an added extra of the pre wedding shoot and we couldn’t recommend it more. Not only did we get some beautiful photos, but she gave us a chance to relax as we were worried about feeling awkward on the wedding day. This was only the second time we had met Camilla but by the end we were laughing like old friends. The photoshoot just left us so excited for the big day!
Bring on the wedding day and Camilla was there beaming as usual and ready to make everyone feel relaxed. She got ready with us and at no point did we feel nervous, she kept things ticking along and anything that seemed off, timing wise, she went and sorted, without even being asked!
We paid for a second photographer and had complete faith in Camilla’s choice. We were very lucky and had the wonderful Alissa Reeve photography join us.
Camilla went above and beyond to make sure our day was as smooth and joyful as possible. She was so willing to help us fit in all that we wanted. She found us an incredible spot for our lakeside pier photos, and even got us up a hill for yet another stunning back drop of the lakes.
Camilla didn’t know if she’d be able to join us on our Boat Cruise, but she fought hell on earth and made it aboard where of course she captured some more stunning photos.
Overall what I’m trying to say is I couldn’t recommend Camilla enough. There are lots of things in life that you wish you could re do and tweak, but we can say with the absolute most certainty that Camilla was the best decision we made about our big day. We knew regardless of if we had to change the whole day, the one thing we knew we wouldn’t have compromised on was having Camilla capture our special day. Our photos are more beautiful than we could have ever dreamed of and we get to relive our amazing day through Camilla’s magnificent work whenever we want.
So if you’re looking for THE photographer to capture your special day, you’ve already found her. If she’s not available for the date you’d like, we’d strongly recommend you move your date!
