Every week I go through all the weddings I'm still yet to blog from 2018 and it's like picking between children... who shall be next!
The only consolation is knowing that everyone will eventually get their time on the blog.
But today's wedding can only go to one couple, and that's Keri & Matthew! Keri & Matthew got married on the 8th September 2018 at the amazing Dalston Hall Hotel and what a day it was! Starting at Yasmin Chloe Hair Design in the morning, the team stormed through all the hair, and Lyndsey Smith powered through the makeup so fast that they were all completely finished super early! (I'm an early girl personally so I was in wedding bliss knowing I had plenty of time to shoot EVERYTHING!
We then moved to Keri's mum's house... well when I say 'we' I mean the bridesmaids had already left and I happily drove Keri and myself there once her hair was styled to utter perfection - it was SO BEAUTIFUL! We soon joined the rest of the party though - her 5 bridesmaids, 3 little flower girls and page boy giving the house such an excitable buzz!
Both Keri & Matthew wanted to get married outside at Dalston Hall, however the Cumbrian weather had other ideas, halting their plans and making them hold their ceremony inside. However it wasn't much of a compromise since it was still such a beautiful wedding, and didn't put a dampener on the proceedings whatsoever! Luckily for us the sun came out right after the ceremony, (perfectly planned!), so we were able to get some super cute couple photographs and family formals outside. After seeing me shoot a few weddings at Dalston Hall, Keri had a total favourite tree she saw me use many times in my photographs, but we totally didn't use it in the traditional fashion for her... instead Matthew picked her up and popped her sitting on a tree branch - there's aways a first for a wedding and it certainly was a first for me, but totally made cute photographs totally unique to them!
Keri planned their day so perfectly. From the bridal details to the sweet table, (which I visited MANY TIMES), it was all so stunning! The florals, the wedding car, the beautifully classic cake, the personalised signs and name places with stunning calligraphy…. Keri planned so much to make their day unbelievably unique and special! It was such an honour to be the one capturing their beautiful moments and little details.
Keri & Matthew are just such a wonderful couple, they're absolutely perfect together and it's been amazing getting to know them both through their pre wedding shoot and wedding day! It's been lovely being able to capture their future memories on camera!
