It’s so easy to see when a couple are so perfectly matched together, and Jessica & Alex are certainly one of those couples!!
On the 1st July 2022 I spent the day with the sweetest (and funniest) couple, Jessica & Alex, for their big day at Eden Barn and to say these two took everything in their stride is an understatement! I don’t think I saw either of them nervous once, but then again, they have been together nearly 11 years!! As Alex was downing water at the church (due to a bit of a late night the night before) Jessica was enjoying her last few moments at her parents’ house with the sweetest first looks with her dad and bridesmaids (some of which shed more than a few tears when they saw her!!).
What was due to be a washout wedding day with rain forecasted continuously, instead turned out that we were actually SO LUCKY and Jessica & Alex were able to be welcomed by confetti from their guests post ceremony, and we even got outside in the evening for some BEAUTIFUL couple photographs… we just won’t talk about the bouncing torrential rain during the reception. Even with some of the worst rain I’ve seen for a long time and were unable to have the outdoor BBQ they’d initially planned, I never saw the smiles faulter on Jessica & Alex’s faces once! Especially when both Al from Lake District Productions and myself got stuck in standstill traffic and arrived at the reception 45 minutes later than planned these two cared more about if we were ok than the time we’d missed shooting! Can you see now why Jessica & Alex are certainly up there with some of my favourite couples!!??
Who knew that nearly 11 years ago a piggyback ride from a guy outside the club (The Warehouse in Penrith) to the taxi rank would end up in many years of happiness for these two! I loved hearing all about Jessica & Alex’s relationship while we were chatting during their couple photographs… well I shouldn’t say chatting, I should really say laughing!! I don’t think I stopped laughing once!
I left that night while the dancefloor was full and while both Jessica & Alex were having the most amazing time dancing to their wonderful band, Hit The Dancefloor (aptly named!) I hope they had the most amazing evening after I left and wish both Jessica & Alex the most amazing life together full of the laughter I saw on their special day! Here’s to Mr & Mrs Jackson!
