I spent a beautiful Winters afternoon (January 31st 2022) with Claire and Joe walking around the beautiful village of Askham and the surrounding areas, talking all things weddings and relationships. The choice of location was certainly very fitting since these two are getting married on their 8 year anniversary, the 26th May, at the beautiful Askham Hall.
Since the very first 'Hello' I don't think we stopped talking once! From what will happen the morning of their wedding, to a special cake cutting planned and even seeing a kilt or two. These two are planning a spectacular wedding and I for one am very excited to get to be part of their big day... even if I am the only one attending as of yet (wedding invites are yet to be posted, but will be sent very soon!)
Claire and Joe matched on Tinder within the first few hours of Claire downloading the app and on their first date they ticked off probably about 4 dates in 1 by going for a walk, out for food, to the cinema etc etc! They might just hold the record for the longest first date known to man!
Six weeks later Claire was moving back to Glasgow after university ended and they both didn't plan to keep things going since it was a 6 hour drive away, however within hours of that final date they carried on texting and talking and the long distant relationship just naturally started and their feelings carried on.
These two love a getaway and book all the unusual stays you can find on airbnb (they've even stayed in a shipping container and a narrowboat!) On one of these holidays away they were staying on a yacht when Joe popped the question to Claire with a toy ring. Surprised was certainly an understatement, and they then went shopping together to find the perfect ring - I love this idea!!
I could honestly talk for HOURS about all the stories we shared, but instead of carrying on I'll just show you some of their beautiful photographs!
