MATTHEW & MELISSA'S CANDLELIGHT BARN WEDDING | NEW HOUSE FARM | LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING

I'm writing this post a few day's before I'm about to post it, yesterday I flew back from New York so today is my day TRYING to get back into work. And what I job I've set myself today, to write Melissa & Matthew's wedding blog. It doesn't really sound like work does it?! I don't think so either!

Anyway, onto their day. Melissa & Matthew got married on Saturday the 15th July at New House Farm near Lorton in the Lake District. This was the first time I photographed a wedding at New House Farm and I was in for a SERIOUS treat! It's such a lovely venue and honestly suited both Melissa & Matthew's personalities perfectly. Their whole day was so unbelievably relaxed, from getting ready in the morning through to their wedding breakfast, they threw traditions completely out the window and decided to do it their way! Which I absolutely loved I have to say!!! We even played around with the 'traditional' timings, and shot their couple photographs after their wedding breakfast - FYI this only works for summer weddings when it stays light for longer!

The way Melissa designed the whole look for their wedding breakfast completely reminded me of something out of Beauty and the Beast... does it you?!? I'm not sure if this is what she was going for but it honestly just looked utterly magical! THEN, we move from magical to just crazy fun with laser clay pigeon shooting! I think Melissa and Matthew truly showed everyone a wedding day can be literally whatever you want it to be.

And to finish off... how AMAZING do they both look, from the green tweed in Matthew's suit to Melissa's beautiful Maggie Sottero strapless wonder from Carol Roberts Bridal... the whole day they epitomised just true happiness!

I honestly wish them both all the love in the world, and I'd love to take a moment to thank them so much for including me in such a fun and unique day!

Anyway, enough from me, take a look at their day!
