Hannah & Jack are my total inspiration for planning a wedding. Jack proposed to Hannah on the 29th July 2016 and they got married exactly 3 months later on the 29th October 2016! They actually ended up planning their wedding within 7 weeks in the end!
Jack: "We originally planned to be married in 2018, after Hannah’s sister had got married, however we came back from holiday and Hannah had a dream how and where she wanted it so booked it and planned the wedding in 7 weeks! We were flooded last December and finally got back into our house in July when I proposed, so we wanted to have a celebration in 2016 and end the year on a happier note than what it was started on."
Hannah and the girls got their hair and makeup done at The Shearing Shed & The Loft Beauty Rooms at Orton Grange, and they both got married at the Carlisle Registry office, (while viewing the photographs please take a moment to check out Hannah's hair!! Now that really is a piece of artwork! Oh and lets not forget her Jenny Packham dress from Poppy Bridal!) Hannah and Jack held their reception at The Tithe Barn in Carlisle and the whole venue was designed to fit the day perfectly, from their afternoon tea, (beautifully scrumptious food by Fells and Dales Catering), to their floral centrepieces in pumpkins! (Hannah and Jack got married over the Halloween weekend - flowers by Bay Tree Florist).
I absolutely loved working this wedding and am so honoured Hannah and Jack picked me to photograph their day for them. I had an amazing time and they are the nicest couple with the cutest little daughter Ada!
I wish them all the happiest of lives all together.
For anyone wanting to feel all warm and cosy inside Jack's happily shared with us all his proposal to Hannah - and it's a great story:
"I proposed to Hannah at Kendal Calling 2016 on July 29th. I knew I wanted to do it at Kendal Calling as we had been there the year previous and when we got home Kendal Calling had shared some photos of engagements from that year at this point she said “the lake is so romantic it would be lovely to get proposed to there”, from that it was set in stone that’s what I was going to do. I bought the ring and went on the Thursday day to Kendal Calling to set my tent up with Hannah’s older sister. Whilst we were there we went into the information tent to ask where the lake was as we couldn’t see it on the map. The woman in the info tent told us that it was now a VIP area (it wasn’t the year before) and asked why we wanted to know, so I told her that I was planning to propose to my girlfriend there and showed her the ring (which I had on me as I didn’t want to risk Hannah finding it!), she then went on and said she would get all the party VIP wristbands so that I could do it and we could all celebrate. So we had the wristbands to get in but I had to make up a story as to how I got them as I knew she would suspect something if I said I just got given them. I told her I got ran over off a golf buggy and got 2 VIP wristbands for my troubles (to which she found very amusing and apparently believable!). So on the Friday we went into the arena and I said to Hannah should we go check out the VIP section to see what it was about, I proposed then told her the buggy was a lie and everyone we were with had the wristbands so they all came and joined for the celebrations!"
