These two never stopped laughing! Honestly, I don't think I've seen a couple with bigger smiles on their faces throughout the entire day! Their laughter was totally infectious, and the day was utterly glorious!
Should we back up a step?
On the 11th May 2019 I had the amazing pleasure to shoot Robyn and David’s wedding at The Heather Glen Country House in Ainstable, and WOW, it was such an amazing day to be part of!
I started in the morning upstairs with the girls as they were getting ready and pouring many glasses of bubbles between them all. Relaxed doesn't quite cover how Robyn and her bridal party were, they were so chilled getting ready that everything flew by super fast and before we knew it everyone was ready with around 45 minutes to spare! What do you do with 45 minutes spare? I think more champagne is in order!
The ceremony, (as was the whole day), was just full of smiles and maybe a tear or two from David's dad, (can you spot that photo??!!) Before we knew it though, Robyn and David were officially married and could kick off their wedding celebrations in style with drinks outside in the gardens and a gate crashing extra guest... their little dog Charlie joining for a run about and a few photographs!
The rest of the day was a blur of laughter, and sunshine, and once everyone started spilling inside for the speeches the real fun started! All three of the speeches were full of jokes and giggles, with a heckle or two and a few hands over the face moments. Each and every one of the speeches were so lovely and funny to listen to and caused so many hilarious reactions in photographs!
As dancing hit full force in the evening I noticed the glowy golden light of a sunset streaming through the window, so before packing up my gear, I grabbed my camera and stole Robyn and David away from their wedding party for just a few minutes and I’m thrilled I did because the sunset shots are SO PRETTY!
I always feel like I could chat for paragraphs about my weddings, but I know what you're all here for... THE PHOTOGRAPHS! So I'll leave this post by wishing the new Mr & Mrs Purdham all the happiness in the world on their adventure together!
