When you've got three hours to kill on a train what do you think I'd do?!
If you guessed share an almighty wedding then you're right!! And today's wedding is nothing short of spectacular!
This morning I'm taking us back to May this year for Jade and Nick's beautiful barn wedding at the fabulous Healey Barn. I had an idea before their wedding that it was going to be a great day, but nothing could have prepared me for what a day it actually was, even a spot of rain couldn't dull the fun flowing round their guests, from morning shots with the boys to some secret singing waiters that only me and about 4 other people knew about, (and that doesn't include Nick!!)
We started the morning in a few of Slaley Hall's log cabins with both the girls and boys getting ready separately. In the girls cabin, the music was turned up, bubbles flowing and plenty of excitement; with the boys, jäger shots were in order and a tie tying lesson or two was in store!
There were so many moments during the morning which I loved capturing - the boys faces after the shots, Jade's bridesmaids first look, and her dad tearing up just a touch seeing her for the first time in her dress. BUT, my total favourites are Jade helping their 2-year-old son Theo into his very grown up suit for the day. Totally in love with those photographs and the two of them together!! When you see them I'm sure you'll agree!!
The weather wasn't quite on our side, and as soon as the ceremony was over at Healey Barn the rain started to arrive... but in true Yorkshire fashion, (if you didn't guess these two are from West Yorkshire), a bit of rain wasn't going to stop them getting some dream-worthy photographs. Woodland walks, fields of crops, and between flowers, Jade and Nick weren't fazed by any situation I put them in, and it so was worth it!! Potentially some of my favourite photographs to date! (I feel like I could say this about EVERY part of their wedding!)
I could talk for plenty more paragraphs about the whole day, as well as Jade, Nick & Theo, but I think the photographs will tell the rest of the story. A few moments to definitely keep an eye out for was the Conga line that was going around the venue during the meal, the secret singer waiters where EVERYONE was up off their chairs (and some even standing on them!!), the 7 speeches, and Jade & Nick's turn at making pizza's and doing some pretty impressive pizza throwing!
This will always be a wedding I look back on and am so thankful that I was the one to be able to capture it for them. Thinking back to their day brings a big smile to my face and I'm sure once you've seem the photographs you'll see why! But for now, another massive congratulations to Mr & Mrs Martin!
