I swear 2018 was just filled with sunshine and heat in the Lakes, and this wedding is no different! I've been so excited to share Alex & Stu's wedding on here, and finally the day has come!
Alex & Stu tied the knot on the 14th July 2018 at The Merewood Country House Hotel overlooking Windermere with lots of their wonderful family & friends. As soon as I walked into their room the morning of the wedding I felt so welcome and just one of the girls. It was amazing to get a peak at Alex's jaw-dropping dress and get to know Alex's family and bridesmaids before the day really kicked off.
The day flew by in a wonderful whirlwind and before we knew it the ceremony was over and the two of them were officially Mr & Mrs.
Both Alex & Stu are such a relaxed couple, and had the idea to go down to the lake by Brockhole Visitor Centre to use the jetty for some photographs. We all piled into an Usher's car post ceremony to make the little journey down the road and through the crowds of tourists! We may have had an audience of strangers for some of the photographs, but it definitely didn't faze these two at all and it was TOTALLY worth the little trip to the water!!
Back up at the country house, the celebrations had already started with drinks flowing, children playing skidding down the hills, and everyone outside in the grounds enjoying the gorgeous weather. Again, time flew by and it was speech time before we knew it! A massive congratulations to Alex's dad, Stu, and Stu's best-man, for some wonderfully, sweet, emotional, and extremely funny speeches!
The whole day was just incredibly amazing, and I'm so pleased I got to document the day for Alex & Stu. I particularly love Alex's personalised leather jacket - how amazing does it look??!!!??? Also, sweet little throw back here, it's the same jacket, (before the personalisation), that she wore in their pre wedding shoot earlier that year.
