The Daffodil in Grasmere is a beautiful, newly renovated hotel in the Lake District, and is the wonderful venue Danielle & Ricky chose for their wedding day on the 31st March 2018.
These two were surrounded by such amazing family and friends on their wedding day, and there were such sweet moments that stuck out to me as I captured each part of the day.
I loved watching Danielle’s mother stand back, smile, and try her hardest to hold back tears while Danielle stood there in her out of this world Jesus Peiro dress for the very first time on her wedding day.
I also loved Danielle and her dad’s first look! She looked amazing and his face walking into the room just SCREAMS that he thought the same too!
And to top it all off Danielle's bridesmaids had never seen her dress before and have NO IDEA what it was like, so her bridesmaids first look was one of the cutest I've ever witnessed! They were just in awe of how gorgeous she was, and they made her entire day such a celebration!!
I always love shooting in the Lake District, because it gives so many options for location ideas and so many lovely unique wedding shots, and Danielle & Ricky certainly won the 'best couple' award on their wedding day!! The weather was not on our side, it was spitting with rain, and since we were right on the water, the wind was incredibly strong AND cold! However, you'd never be able to tell from these photographs just how freezing it really was! What troopers they were!!
However, my favorite part of the day was during their ceremony. Each ceremony is so different and everyone is worried about getting the words wrong, nevertheless, Ricky's little stumble on his words made for great photographs of both of them laughing and just provided such sweet reactions and photographs I'm sure they'll treasure <3
Being a part of weddings like this is such an honour for me and I adore being part of a day that they'll remember forever.
