BEN & AIMEE'S MAGICALLY TWINKLY BARN WEDDING | THREE HILLS BARN | NORTH WEST WEDDING

The moment I walked up to the apartment building where the girls were getting ready the morning of the wedding I knew this was going to be an amazingly fun day! I had the bridesmaids and Rebecca from Bliss Beauty waving away from one of the upstairs windows and I could hear the buzz of the girls and music while walking up the stairs. I got to know Aimee's three bridesmaids - Lizzie, Kelly & Hannah - within minutes and felt like I'd known them years. Honestly I couldn't have asked for a better group of girls to spend the day with!

The morning was over within a flash and then it was onto Three Hills Barn in Torpenhow, where I got welcomed for the second week in a row by Mark and Jenny, the owners, who are just so incredibly lovely! As I walked into the barn, I saw how it had transformed from my previous weeks wedding there, into a twinkly fairly land, with hundreds of lights adorning the walls and beams. It was amazing to see my two brides put their stamp on a venue and have two completely different weddings from one week to another - this just shows you can make a venue into whatever you want!

Ben & Aimee's ceremony was so lovely and the whole room was filled with emotion! The weather during the day was a little hit and miss... it's Cumbria, maybe I should admit it was a little more miss and the use of umbrellas was a MUST. However, we did find a 20 minute window during the day where the rain stopped and the sun tried to peak through the clouds, which actually ended up giving us some pretty soft golden light for Ben & Aimee's couple photographs! WIN WIN! When all is said a done though, it's not the wind and rain you remember, it's the beautiful moments, speeches - even with the groomsmen taking a touch longer than usual, (great stories from them though!) - and the fun had by all!

This day was packed full of love and highlights for me and before it was even finished I was SO excited to get editing because I knew I had some beautifully meaningful shots for my wonderful couple. However my ultimate highlight came at the end of the night, after Ben & Aimee's first dance, where Aimee had the Spice Girls "Mama" played, for her first dance with her mother. Literally the whole room was in floods of tears, (check out the bridesmaids at the end!), and I kept telling myself "don't cry, you're working, you're not allowed to cry!" It was honestly one of the most moving things I have seen!

Suppliers that helped make it happen:

Dress: Pronovias from Marrime Bridalwear Flowers: Bespokeflowers ByStephaniemarrs Makeup: Bliss Beauty Rooms Hair: Danielle Coates Cake: Jessica Hebson from The Lake District Bakery Caterer: Liz's Country Kitchen

P.S. A massive thank you to Lizzie & Kelly who helped with the confetti canons during the first dance!

Enjoy!
