Their Wedding Story

Friday's wedding at the beautiful Inn On The Lake was the perfect reminder that a little February rain can never dampen a beautiful wedding day.

Laura & Kevin tied the knot surrounded by the misty mountains of Ullswater and, in true Lake District winter fashion, it rained… and rained… and rained some more. But not once did it dampen their spirits. If anything, they embraced it completely – heading outside for confetti and even sparklers in the rain (which, by the way, makes for the dreamiest, most atmospheric photographs).

Their couple portraits were simply beautiful – moody skies, soft rain, and the most romantic atmosphere you could imagine and smiles and laughter throughout. Laura looked absolutely stunning, her lace-trimmed veil being the perfect final touch to her outfit adding such an elegant, timeless look.

Music flowed throughout the whole celebration – from Millie singing during the ceremony, to a saxophonist bringing the vibes at the reception, and a live band filling the dance floor in the evening. The energy never dropped.

Well… almost never! We did have one guest who wasn’t entirely convinced by proceedings from halfway through the ceremony onwards – little 15-month-old Theo. Safe to say it was a big day for him! Though I think we just aboutcoaxed one tiny smile out of him when the singing waiters surprised everyone during the wedding breakfast – which was definitely a highlight!

Rain, laughter, music, sparklers and so much love – Laura & Kevin, your day was an absolute joy to capture. Thank you for trusting me to document such a special chapter of your story.
