Their Wedding Story

Hold onto your seats guys, because we've got a tale that's sweeter than your grandma's secret pie recipe… or at least mine – she was a top baker! Katie and Jack, who met through the world of work nine years ago, decided to take the plunge and tie the knot at Slaley Hall this past Friday. And let me tell you, these two are one of the kindest couples you’ll come across – however their proposal story does come with a twist of canine chaos.

Picture this: Jack, all ready to pop the question on the scenic Bamburgh beach. But just before he's about to get down on one knee, their four-legged accomplice decides it's time for her own spotlight moment. Yep, you guessed it, nature called at the most inconvenient moment, giving new meaning to the phrase "puppy love." But hey, even the little one’s shenanigans couldn't put a dent in Katie's surprise and joy when Jack did finally get down on one knee (poo bag in hand).

Now, let's talk about Slaley Hall. Both Katie & Jack stumbled upon this gem after a spontaneous visit, and it was like love at first sight. From the grand beginning to the grander finale, their big day went off without a hitch. Seriously, even Mother Nature was on their side and held the rain off for the most important moments.

But wait, there's a plot twist! After attending a friends wedding, Katie and Jack had an idea: they wanted a sneak peek before the main event. Yes, a "first look" was the name of the game. It's like having a mini dress rehearsal for your emotions. They might have shed a tear or two and still might have been a touch nervous before the ceremony, but it would have been much worse without their first look together!

I left their big day with the cèilidh in full force and many questionable (and funny) dance moves going on. It’s very obvious to see these two have an amazing future to come, hopefully one filled with laughter, less doggy surprises, and a lifetime of adventures – starting with a trip to Sorrento. Here’s to the new Mr & Mrs!
