Their Wedding Story

Saturday was one of those weddings that remind you what it’s all about.

Jessica & Matthew have been part of each other’s lives for years, but when they were teenagers Jess famously said she wasn’t interested... thankfully Matthew didn’t give up and at the age of 17 they went out on their first date. Fifteen years later, after growing up side by side, creating a home together and welcoming two gorgeous little girls, Penelope and Daphne, they finally became husband and wife.

Their ceremony took place in Jessica’s local family church, the same church where her grandparents said their vows many years before, before we escaped to the shores of Crummock Water for some quiet moments together. The Lake District really showed off, and it was the perfect backdrop for the next chapter of their story.

One thing everyone will tell you about Jess is that she’s usually the one taking the photo, making sure every memory is captured. So it felt especially fitting that she got to be in front of the lens instead of pulling her phone out to capture it herself. One thing I can tell you about their big day, it was truly amazing!
