Their Wedding Story
From Lockdown Walks to Wedding Fireworks
When Alex first matched with Emma on Tinder, the only thing he knew was that she was 43, called Emma and from Doncaster. What he didn’t know was that this seemingly small bit of information was the start of something truly life-changing.
Emma had only downloaded Tinder a few days before their match, but the connection was instant. A quick video call later, and it was clear—they clicked. With lockdown restrictions still in place, their early dates were simple yet meaningful: long walks, relaxed picnics, and lots of genuine conversation. “It was the best way to start,” Alex recalls. “There were no big gestures, just real time spent getting to know each other.”
As it turned out, Emma and Alex had more in common than just great chemistry—they both had four grown-up children each.
Fast forward to this past Wednesday, and Emma & Alex tied the knot at The Samling, a stunning and secluded venue overlooking Windermere. It was a place already close to their hearts—it’s where they got engaged—and now it’s where they became husband and wife.
The day was every bit as special as their journey together. In a break from tradition, they chose to see each other before the ceremony, sharing a drinks reception with their guests before saying their vows. Sunshine, laughter, and breathtaking views set the tone for a magical afternoon, ending with a spectacular firework display that lit up the night sky.
A perfect day for a perfect couple—rooted in real connection, shared values, and a love that grew from the simplest of beginnings.
