Their Wedding Story
After so much postponed wedding heartache, it was the biggest pleasure to get to both watch and capture Emily & David's beautiful Winters wedding day on the 14th January 2022 in the heart of the Lake District countryside.
Like so many couples they have had lots of highs and lows while planning their big day throughout Covid times, but finally they got the day of their dreams in David’s local church down the road from his family farm, nestled in the hills.
After only a year of dating, David proposed to Emily on a trip over in Dublin, with them both commenting, “When you know, you know!” Since then Emily has got stuck into David’s family’s farm, often being found with Sammy her little dog on the quadbike, helping out at lambing time, and walking around the hills the farm sits on, so it was only fitting for their couple photographs that we ventured to a little track between the fells for some seriously scenic shots. Emily even walked up the countryside hills in her HEELS!!!! She's one amazingly determined girl!
The day went off without a hitch with plenty of gossip, laughter and drinks flowing! In Emily's words that night "It has been everything I imagined and more!"
It's safe to say that it was certainly worth the wait for one of the kindest, most caring couples you'll ever meet!
I think it’s time for me to end thing here and let the photographs tell the rest of their story. Here’s to the new Mr & Mrs Simpson!
