Their Wedding Story

On the 29th July I spent the day with the lovely Chloe & Johnny for their wonderful marquee wedding on their farm.

Getting married in Chloe’s local family church they were blessed with a dry day (which is all we can ask for in Cumbria!!) perfect for their marquee wedding reception. Not much can dampen these two's spirits... however post ceremony coming back to hearing the news that the generator was on fire 20 minutes earlier would have rocked most level-headed people, however not Chloe & Johnny! With the back- up generator on route everything managed to go off without a hitch from then onwards and thanks to the amazing caterers Liz’s Country Kitchen, this set back didn’t even affect the wedding timescale for food!

Let’s back up a little bit! Chloe and Johnny met at a Young Farmers event when Chloe’s friend was interested in a guy and was about to leave Chloe alone when she said ‘why don’t you dance with that guy’. Little did Chloe know that going up to ‘that guy’ to ask him to dance would be the start of their story together!

After MANY MANY years together, and during lots of those years Johnny continuously stated he didn’t want to get married, Chloe was certainly surprised when one day while walking their super cute dog Bella on the land Johnny threw a present across the field for Bella to retrieve for Chloe. Not once did Chloe expect what the present really was – an engagement ring!! To say she was shocked is an understatement by the sounds of things!

A year and a half later they had the wedding of their dreams dancing what I assume was late into the evening (the dancefloor was more than packed when I left!!)

I’m thrilled that I was able to capture their beautiful wedding day for Chloe & Johhny and I’m so excited for you all to see their preview – definitely keep an eye out for the maize field photographs! Johnny was very happy when he saw a preview from the back of my camera that his crops were above their heads (a sign of a good crop by all accounts!) Either way though, these two look amazing, don’t you agree!!!

Here's to the new Mr & Mrs Steel!!
